Wildflowers at Dusk- Original Artwork

$4,800.00

Wildflowers at Dusk- Original Artwork

This artwork depicts a flourishing field of native Australian botanicals, rendered in earthy tones that evoke dusk settling over the landscape. Layered textures and soft washes create a sense of depth, while detailed leaves, pods, and blossoms rise through the composition with quiet strength. This beautiful original artwork, Wildflowers at Dusk, captures the stillness and resilience of the bush at day’s end- a moment where light fades, colours soften, and the natural world rests into harmony.

About the Collection

Rooted deeply in the Australian landscape, Whispers of Country is a collection of eight original artworks by Wiradjuri artist Amanda Hinkelmann, each piece a gentle homage to the native flora that surrounds her home. Through organic compositions and an earthy palette of ochres, blushes, and soft neutrals, Amanda captures the quiet rhythm and resilience of the land- its native plants, wildflowers, and whispering grasses.

Every brushstroke reflects connection- to Country, to heritage, and to the natural beauty found in the subtle details of the environment. The flowing lines and layered forms evoke movement and growth, celebrating the delicate harmony between strength and fragility that defines Australia’s wild landscape.

From the intricate petals of native blooms to the sweeping forms of banksias and seedpods, this body of work speaks of belonging and reverence- a visual poem to place, memory, and nature’s enduring spirit.

Artist Statement

“These works are born from the Country I walk every day- the plants I see, the sounds I hear, and the spirit that moves through it all. Each painting holds a piece of home, a reflection of connection, and an ongoing conversation with the land.”
– Amanda Hinkelmann
